Mother Earth Needs You! Dr. Donohue's Earth Day Sermon

On April 23, 2023, Dr. Donohue gave the Earth Day sermon at the First Unitarian Church of Wilmington, Delaware.

In his talk, he warned of the dire risks that Earth faces as we hurtle toward climate disaster. I know, right? Boring!

He looked at the social and environmental harms of animal agriculture.

He looked at the Blue Zones, where people live to be 100 at 10 times the rate of elsewhere in the world.

He focused on the blue zone in Loma Linda California, and explored how the Seventh Day Adventist Church has created a blue zone through a church principle of health and plant-based nutrition.

He offered a path forward for other churches or community organizations to invigorate their individuala nd institution’s health by similarly focusing on healthy lifestyle.
